Make the most of a test drive.
A good viewing gives you time to look, listen and ask.
Before you arrive
Confirm that the car is available and ask what identification or licence information is required for a drive. Let the dealer know about any particular features or questions you want to cover.
Look around the whole car
Take time to inspect the body, wheels, tyres, cabin and luggage space. Ask about anything that differs from the description or photographs.
Ask for the paperwork
Discuss the service record, vehicle history, preparation work and relevant inspection information. Check what is included in the sale and which terms apply.
Try the everyday things
Adjust the seat and mirrors, use the controls and check visibility. Where appropriate and agreed, experience roads similar to the ones you normally use. Make notes before deciding.
